As your dementia progresses, the council’s equipment and adaptations service may be able to support you with larger adaptations or specialist equipment to help you live more safely and independently at home.
Telecare is a range of equipment that can help you live safely at home and makes sure you get help quickly if needed. There are 2 types of equipment:
- monitors – to make sure you’re safe
- alerts – to tell someone if you’ve had an accident or there’s something wrong
