Asking for help can be hard, particularly if you’ve asked before and not received the understanding you need. But you are not alone, and the facts and support to help you have never been easier to find.
Here are some support organisations which can help you.
Chapter One
Chapter One is an information, training and support hub for everyone affected by gambling.
If you’re worried about gambling, for yourself or someone you know, you can find more information about gambling harms and where to access free, confidential support and treatment that works.
Chapter One is a partnership between Gambling with Lives and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

NHS Northern Gambling Service
The NHS Northern Gambling Service provides specialist addiction therapy and recovery to people affected by:
- gambling addiction
- depression
- anxiety
- trauma
- suicidal feelings
This service also helps people close to those with gambling addiction, such as family members, partners and carers.
It covers the whole of the North of England including the north Midlands, with clinics located in:
- Manchester
- Liverpool
- Blackpool

Gamcare
The National Gambling Helpline provides advisors who are available 24/7 online and over the phone.
Its team can signpost you to a range of confidential and free support services, such as counselling and therapy, as part of the National Gambling Support Network.
