Wheelers Accessible Cycling

We offer weekly cycling opportunities throughout the year for disabled adults, children and young people at Woodbank Park in Stockport.

There are a variety of adapted cycles to enable people of all abilities to experience and enjoy cycling. Sessions take place in a safe, car-free environment away from any roads.

As well as a fleet of 24 regular bikes, we have 36 specially adapted cycles and trikes such as hand cycles and side-by-side bikes. Everyone can cycle with us and when new people attend we help them find the right bike for their needs (please note that our cycles are not compatible with powered wheelchairs due to weight restrictions).

As well as the cycling itself, there is a light refreshments café run by Stockport Harriers in a trackside building, providing a place for people to enjoy a cup of tea and a chat. This also benefits carers as they have an opportunity to chat with other carers as well as taking part in the cycling sessions.
