Description
Stockport Boccia Club is a local organisation that exists to provide sporting and social opportunities for disabled people across Greater Manchester. We are a small club, but have a wide-reaching impact on the lives of disabled adults and children.
Boccia is a game of skill, tactics, and teamwork, the club are able to provide opportunities to develop these aspects and provides a safe, supportive environment to learn. We provide opportunities to learn and play the Paralympic sport of Boccia for all ages (from 8 to 80) with members currently spanning this range.
The club meets weekly at Avondale Leisure Centre, and athletes can train with a qualified coach, to improve their skills, abilities and also experience the social aspects of the sport. We have coached local members and have enabled athletes to progress to through to national and international competitions, as well as local, and regional events.
We would welcome you to come along and have a go!
